How do I choose the right pillow loft (height)?

Pick a loft that keeps your head and neck in a comfortable, neutral line. Side sleepers and broader shoulders suit a higher loft (about 12-14 cm); back sleepers a medium loft (about 10-12 cm); stomach sleepers a low loft (about 8-10 cm). Your mattress matters too: on a firm mattress your shoulder sinks in less, so you usually need a little more loft; on a soft mattress, a little less.
